One day I met an elderly woman, 81 years old, who spoke to me for half an hour, claiming that she was Christ in His second coming and that He had come through her. This woman had written four books about these ideas. At first, I thought she might be suffering from some kind of illness, but I soon realized that she was fully aware of what she was saying. Sadly, what she had embraced was one of the manifestations of what is known as the New Age movement , which has spread throughout the West. The term New Age refers to a new era of spirituality.
